AgriLogic was contracted by the USDA Risk Management Agency (RMA) to conduct the research and determine the feasibility of a risk management program to cover pasture and rangeland. This is the first task order in what may be a series of task orders intended to ultimately result in a risk management program to cover pasture and rangeland as required by Sec. 522 (c) (6) of the Federal Crop Insurance Act as amended by Sec. 131 of the Agricultural Risk Protection Act of 2000.

AgriLogic conducted research to determine the feasibility of providing insurance coverage for forage loss on pastures and rangelands and provided recommendations for developing a nationwide pasture and rangeland program with the ability to account for much of the diversity experienced throughout the United States in pasture and rangeland forage systems.
